All original pair of Pappy Kidwell canvasback decoys, ca. 1940. The drake is branded ?HK? and the snuggle-head hen is branded ?K.? The drake is 14 x 6 x 5.25 (L x W x H) inches with his head turned 30 degrees to the center. The hen is 16 x 6 x 5.

539Reg Bloom Ruddy Ducks

Beautiful matched pair of decorative ruddy ducks by Reg Bloom, Kingston, Ontario, ca. 1960. This is an unusual species to find, and these are wonderful: the hens tail is straight, and the drakes tail is erect. The carving and paint application are Bloom at his best. Both are stamped with Reg Blooms signature.

540Don Bonini (CA) Bluebill Pair

Pair of solid redwood bluebills carved, painted, and used by Don Bonini, El Cerrito, CA, dated 1942. This pair is shown on 211 of Wildfowl Decoys of the Pacific Coast. Don was a machinist and a fireman in El Cerrito for 42 years. These decoys were used at Point Isabella and the racetrack at Albany. Dimensions are 14 x 5.75 x 7.25 (L x W x H) inches.
