497Pattalock Mallard Hen (CA)

Solid redwood mallard hen made by George Pattalock, Susanville, CA, 1950s. Mr. Pattalock made about 125 decoys (pintails and mallards) that he used at Honey Lake and in the Upper Sacramento Valley. GLP is branded in the bottom. Dimensions are 15 x 7 x 6 (L x W x H) inches. Wings are very nicely carved, and the painting is very well done.
