487Mason/Peterson Mallard Factory Decoy

This decoy has some of the characteristics of a Peterson mallard, and some of a Mason. The shape of the bird (except for the lack of a highly protruding breast) and paint of the breast scallops and the tail is characteristic of the Peterson factory. The paint is in excellent sworly condition. Dimensions are 16 x 5 x 6.25 (L x W x H) inches. The weight is inset.

Percy Bicknell, LuLu Island, B.C. 1940-1950. Great pintail drake in good original condition. Stable crack in neck. Some rubs spots. Loop painting on wings. Rigging fully in tact.

491Walter Dettman Mallard Hen

Walter Dettman Mallard Hen. This is an old chunky beauty was carved by Walter Dettmann, ca. 1939. The wood is 3 layers thick. The head and bill carving are very nice. There is a slight (stable)crack at the base of the head. Has only light evidence of any use, but it was rigged. Dimensions are 16 x 7 x 7.5 (L x W x H) inches.
