| 651Wells Drake Redhead Drake Redhead by J.R. Wells, Toronto, Canada, ca. 1910-35. Wells made a delicately crafted decoy. The body is hollow-carved and very light weight. He has a bottom board that is attached with about 3 nails per inch, no leaks on this bird! The head is wonderful with glass eyes and fine bill carving. The physical condition is excellent. The surface is repainted in the same manner that Wells painted. The look and feel of this old decoy will be enjoyed for many years to come.

| 652Brabaw Drake Canvasback Drake canvasback by Menmin Brabaw, Harsen's Island, Lake St. Clair, ca. 1950s Brabaw was a guide and decoy maker. He made a simple but effective bobtail style decoy. This is a nice example of his hand-carved hunting blocks. The surface is a working repaint. The physical condition is excellent. The decoy measures about 15 inches from bill to tail.

| 653Rare Alcide Leroux Swan Alcide Leroux, St-Zotique, Quebec. ca. 1950. Rare Canada goose in very good condition. A very large single piece of wood was used for the body of the decoy. Has an old repair to a split in the back. Dimensions are 21 x 10.75 x 15 (L x W x H) inches. Written brand of Jen Guy Paquette on bottom, along with the carver's stamped mark (AL). This is a very eavy decoy!
